





          
          
          
                  NETWORK REGISTRATION AND LICENSE INFORMATION
          
          
          A word about user supported software:
          
          The user supported software concept (usually referred to as
          Shareware) is an attempt to provide quality software at low cost.
          The cost of offering a new product by conventional means is
          staggering, and hence dissuades many independent authors and
          small companies from developing and promoting their ideas.  User
          supported software is an attempt to develop a new marketing
          channel, where products can be introduced at low cost.
          
          If user supported software works, then everyone will benefit.
          The user will benefit by receiving quality products at low cost,
          and by being able to "test drive" software thoroughly before
          purchasing it.  The author benefits by being able to enter the
          commercial software arena without first needing large sources of
          venture capital.
          
          But it can only work with your support.  We're not just talking
          about NETWORK here, but all user supported software.  If you find
          that you are still using a program after a couple of weeks, then
          pretty obviously it is worth something to you, and you should
          send in the registration fee.
          
          
          What are the benefits of registering NETWORK?
          
          1)  You will receive the latest version of the software and
          user's manual on diskette.
          
          2)  You will be notified of major updates (or fixes, if
          required).
          
          3)  You will be assured of inexpensive upgrade offers.
          
          4)  You will receive notification of new products.
          
          5)  Your suggestions will help shape future products or releases.
          
          6)  You will help to keep the cost of software prices down by
          supporting a distribution method which doesn't rely on expensive
          advertising campaigns.



















          
          
          
                                    DISTRIBUTION
          
          NETWORK is copyrighted.  You are granted a limited license to use
          NETWORK, and to copy it and distribute it to friends or
          associates, provided the following conditions are met.
          
          1)  No price or consideration may be charged.  However, a nominal
          distribution cost may be charged for the cost of the diskettes,
          shipping, and handling.  Typically this should be less than
          $10.00 total.
          
          2)  The files and programs on the diskettes may not be modified,
          deleted, nor added to.
          
          3)  In the case of distributions via computerized bulletin
          boards, or through any other telecommunications link, the
          programs should be transferred in the archived format (in one
          large .ARC file).
          
          4)  The programs may not be sold as part of some more inclusive
          package.
          
          5)  The programs may not be rented or leased to others.
          
          6)  If you are copying the disks for distribution to students in
          a classroom, you must provide them with the following written
          notice:
               
          These diskettes are distributed to you through the courtesy of
          your school and instructor, and the program author, Kenneth
          Wyatt.  No royalty or registration fee has been paid for the
          programs, which are for your evaluation as a student.  If you
          wish to receive the latest version, as well as announcements of
          updates and improvements to the program, you must first become a
          "registered user".  You may do this by purchasing each program
          you plan to use.  A printed copy of the order form may be
          obtained by choosing (6) Shareware Information, from the Main

                              SINGLE USER REGISTRATION
          
          The registration fee for single user non-commercial use is
          $20.00.
          
          The registration fee for single user commercial use is $40.00.
          
          When sending your fee, please include the registration form.
          This form may be printed out within the NETWORK program by
          selecting (6) Shareware Information, at the Main Menu.  For
          diskette registration outside the U.S., please add an additional
          $5.00.  Orders must be payable to Kenneth Wyatt, and in U.S.
          currency and drawn on a U.S. bank.  Thank you.
          
          
          
                                 SITE LICENSE
          
          Corporate users or government agencies who wish to use NETWORK on
          multiple computers may purchase a site license.  Site licenses
          are granted when payment is received.  License fees vary
          depending upon the number of computers on which NETWORK is to be
          used, as follows:
          
                  2 to 9 computers ................. $150.00
                  10 to 49 computers ............... $495.00
                  50 (or more) computers ........... $995.00
          
          Single copies for commercial or government use do not require a
          site license and may be purchased for $40.00.  Company or
          business checks are considered as "commercial use".  The
          following page is a site license agreement.  It should be signed
          and included with your license payment.






























          
          
          
                           SITE LICENSE - NETWORK
          
          The use of NETWORK in a commercial environment or government
          organization is granted under the following terms:
          
          1)  Payment of the license fee must be made payable to Kenneth
          Wyatt.  The fee is based upon the number of computers which will
          be used to run NETWORK, as follows:
          
                  2 to 9 computers .................. $150.00
                  10 to 49 computers ................ $495.00
                  50 (or more) computers ............ $995.00
          
          2)  You may use NETWORK on the number of computers included in
          the license fee.  If you have paid the fee for over 50 computers,
          then you may use NETWORK on any number of computers within your
          organization.
          
          3)  You may make copies of the program, in its original,
          unmodified form, without restriction.  You may distribute these
          copies of the program without restriction.
          
          4)  If these copies are distributed outside of your organization,
          you have no obligation to control the use of these copies which
          are outside of your organization.
          
          5)  You may make copies of the program documentation, in both its
          printed form and machine readable form, without restriction.
          
          6)  You may use future versions of NETWORK under this license.
          The latest version will be available from Kenneth Wyatt for a
          service charge of $10.00.  Major revisions will be announced.
          
          7)  You may not modify the program or charge a fee for copying or
          distributing the program.
          
          8)  It is your responsibility to make the necessary copies and to
          deliver them to the computers on which they will be used.
