 For the benefit of new reporters, I have been asked about the format of
submitted loggings. I don't have any preference as long as they are complete,
accurate and timely. The biggest problem is that of UTC DATE. Remember to
advance the date after 0000 GMT, for example 2359 GMT SEP 30th, one minute
later becomes 0000 GMT OCT 1st. It takes some getting used to and even us
"Old Timers" slip up now and then.

 I've had several people submit feedback concerning the changes made to the
column. Most of your comments and suggestions have already been implemented
and I hope that this "Final" format is an even better improvement. Thanks to
all those that "Fed Back"!

 Several new stations this month: Primitive Radio, Voice of Broadcast Freedom
which was hosted by a female announcer, FAQ (also reported as NAPRS, SAQ, SA2)
is a new pirate relay station has been heard testing with QSL info unknown at
this time, Order of the Solar Temple also with unknown QSL information, Black
Rider Radio, and Voice of Scotland a new Europirate that made the trip over. A
new name for a well known scourge has been decided on from an informal poll
taken a few weeks ago. The station that was often referred to as Fake Radio USA
shall now be called Radio Is Not Radio. Many felt that the operator of this
station should not be given such a prestigious association, hence the new name.

 Propagation conditions on October 1st/2nd appeared to be excellent as NAPRS
was heard in Germany and Live Wire Radio was heard on the East Coast. For those
of you that follow the 27 day solar cycle, this might mean a repeat of those
good conditions for Halloween! On with the show....
