Hope you are hearing us Henry. ANARTS officebearers for 1994-1995 ---------------------------------- Last night the deferred elections for 1994-5 were held and the retiring committee was re-elected unopposed. So, if you can't remember who's who, here's a list: President Col Davies VK2CTD Vice President Jim Swan VK2BQS Secretary Pat Leeper VK2JPA Treasurer Alan Fall VK2DPM Col has volunteered to be Newsletter Editor, and Pat is again the Boadcast Officer. Can you help us in any way -- with news items, or perhaps you could volunteer to be a backup relay operator in time of illness etc. If you can, let us know via the callbacks on the different frequencies, or drop a packet message to VK2JPA at VK2AAB (until VK2RWI comes back on air). Your assistance as always will be greatly appreciated. Local news from your club is always welcome -- any news in the digital field of amateur radio. ------------------------------------------- Snippet from the contest replies -------------------------------- No - nothing to do with the contest - but did you know that the Maple Leaf Radio Society in Canada runs a Maple Leaf award for contacting Canadian prefixes. What was surprising to us was the number mentioned in the various awards, with the top award going to those contacting 200 prefixes! We had no idea Canada had so many prefixes -- these date from after February 15 1965, the date when Canada received its official flag. The club is located in Ontario at Listowel, and if you are interested, we will include the full address from the leaflet which arrived with a contest log from Canada. ------------------------------------------ IPS weekly report ----------------- 29 July - 04 August 1994 Issue No 31 Date of issue: 05 August 1994 INDICES: Date 29 30 31 01 02 03 04 10cm 76 75 75 74 75 76 75 A 14 11 7 8 5 5 ( 5 estimated) T 31 33 26 27 25 27 23 SUMMARY OF ACTIVITY Solar activity was very low all week.
