Successful news cast from Wireless Hill in W.A. ---------------------------------------------- Our congratulations to W.A.A.D.C.A. for the success of the RTTY news cast from Wireless Hill in Perth. It is pleasing to hear that the coverage is so wide with excellent copy received all over the metropolitan area. It is indeed an excellent site and the Perth amateurs should get good value from any and all services provided from there. That is what you can get when people are prepared to work and do something to help fellow amateurs in the hobby. Again, our heartiest congratulations for a job well done. We also hear of the social side of the hobby in Perth, with the regular lunchtime get-together of the Old Timers group. Be nice if we had that here in New South Wales. As far as I know, not being an Old Timer, is that it is a case of bring your sandwiches to Amateur Radio House, not meet at a place with a good meal. Of course, the socialising will be similar but the venue could be a great deal better, hi hi. Thanks to Clem VK6CW for the above information ----------------------------------------- Now we have our contest coming up shortly, so we will begin to publish the rules this week.
