A Walk Through of "Lost in L.A."

     This is a pretty entertaining little mystery if you love (and
understand) LA.  Since I have lived here for 14 years, I thought it
was great -- good sense of humor.  Rilly!

     It's not too hard to solve -- after all, I did it.  But it
does have a definite sequence that is easy to get botched up
leaving you short of the ending.  So, this walk through has most if
not all of what you need to make it through.

1>  Venice Beach.  Talk to Lifeguard in second panel to get proper
intro for Christy and Misty.
2>  Venice Beach.  Talk to Misty and Christy to get intro to Rock,
the cop in Hollywood.  Also find out that guy at Pawnshop in
Hollywood loves La Fonda Turner pix.
3>  Hollywood.  See Rock, get info on LAPD database.  Start
searching for computer.
4>  Hollywood.  Talk to tourists on corner to get second map after
giving them your autograph.  
5>  SS&Vine.  Use map on Entrepreneur to get cellular phone.
6>  Hollywood.  See Murry at fleabag hotel.  Get film, and intro to
Blade (Peacechild).  
7>  Hollywood.  Go back into hotel and get mudwrestling ticket.
8>  Hollywood.  Blade, call him Peacechild and give him cellular
phone so he gets call, and note that LAPD password starts with EL,
not "L" as he tries to tell you.  Don't worry about getting phone
back.  Make sure he tells you about the Boyz.
9>  Hollywood.  Go back up by Rock and get your picture taken by
gorgeous woman at photo store.  (Use the film on her.)  Take
picture with La Fonda Turner.
10> Venice Beach.  Go to newstand in second panel and read it.  You
have to go back twice.  Then go tell the lifeguard about eclipse. 
While it is dark, steal his bandana.
11> Hollywood.  Find the Boyz, South of Rock the cop.  Rap with
them a while, then use bandana on them when you are done talking. 
(You should listen to Blade first, tell you they are softies.)
12> Hollywood.  When Boyz have split, enter Pawn shop.  Talk to
Lou, then give him your La Fonda picture.
13> Hollywood.  Go to mudwrestling place and give Bob your pass.
14> Hollywood.  Spend an enjoyable evening and wake up with two
beauties.  Ask them for DOS.  Use DOS to boot computer, then hack
your way into LAPD computer.  Use "Elvis" as password.  Get info
from computer.  
15> Rodeo Drive.  Walk into pigeon on first frame.  Scrape pigeon
poo off car winshield with K Card. 
16> Paramound Studios.  Tell guard that Abe and Maladona are
suspects to enter studio.
17> Paramound.  Enter Horror Set.  Use Pigeon Spoo from Rodeo Drive
on rowboat.  Go to Camp Blood.  Get in argument with Jason.  GET
AXE when he drops it.  Exit through sign into Maladona's studio and
become a star overnight.  
18> SS&Vine.  Go see agent Leoni.  He tells you to get portfolio.
19> SS&Vine.  Go see Luther.  He tells you to get plastic surgery.
20> Rodeo.  Get fake nose from Plastic Surgeon.
21> SS&Vine.  Get portfolio from Luther.
22> SS&Vine.  Take portfolio to Leoni.  He tells you to get
clothes.
23> Rodeo.  Go into boutique.  Walk around carefully at far right
side of screen and Maladona will come in.  You will get sequenced
into Spago's (have some reservations about the deal) and then to
the big party.
24> Party.  (automatic).  Precipitate fight between Abe and
Maladona.  Watch later as Maladona gets kidnapped by Abe's bimbos.
25> Wax Museum. (automatic)  Use AXE to chop patiently at front
door.  Enter museum. (You must do things more or less in sequence
from this point).  Go to third panel.  Don't look at Helmut yet! 
Touch (use hand) the babes to get wax on fingers.  Then take torch. 
USE torch on Helmut to see him.  You are seized here, & you will
get a long explanation from bad guy.  When he stops talking, you
start controlling Helmut <26>.
26> Wax Museum.  You are now Helmut.  First, get torch.  Go back to
first panel and melt sword off Conan.  Use sword on Tarzan's
loincloth to get it.  Go back to third panel.  Use sword to scrape
wax off Helmut's old stand.  Use wax on acid dripping from Alien's
mouth.  Go back to second panel and use sword on sarcophagus to
open it.
27> Wax Museum.  Use loincloth on center of staircase to parachute
down.  Use Alien spit on steel straps around Les.  You both jump up
to confront Mad Wax, but he grabs Helmut and disappears upstairs. 
You (Les) are left to confront the bimbos.  Use the K card on them!
28> Belltower.  Click on trapdoor.  Bargain with Mad Wax, then use
K Card on him.  Helmut jumps off and grabs rope to ring bell.  You
automatically put wax in your ears.  Mad Wax drops his revolver. 
Try to take it -- you can't -- but this is cue for Helmut to jump
on bat and line up behind Mad Wax.  Use Les's hand to push Wax over
Helmut into Bell Tower.  Aaaaaahhhh!
