============================================================================== Phile 1.11 of 1.14 The Mf2 U.K Signaling System ---------------------------- Writen by THE KEY for NEABBS holland All info in this file is for PHUN ONLY !!!!!!!! To start: In the U.k. they use serveral signaling systems, and the one I think is mostly used is te MF2 system. The MF2 system uses MULTI FREQUENCY system, so for the peolpe who still don't understand, ONE DIGIT IS MADE OUT OF TWO FREQUENCIES !!!!!! The first thing to do is to find a toll free nummber going to the uk. I think that AMERICAN EXPRESS has a number in almost every country i know, for holland it is : 060220100 and for belgium 117632 and for italy it is 167872000 First you must call the number and just listen. If all goes well you must hear: krggg krggg krggg krggg (so it's ringing) And if someone picks up the phone you MUST hear a loud PLEEP !!!!!!!!!! If you don't hear the peep than the number is not boxable. NOW make a program that generates a tone of 2280 HTz, and blow it in the line just before the phone starts ringing.(Remeber, don't give up after 2 times !) And again if all goes well you must hear a PLEEP from the trunk, and you are ready to start signaling. But first the frequency tabel. The signals you send are: 2280 HTz for a duration of 1000 ms (= 1 second) , this is the CLEAR FORWARD. 2280 HTz for about 80 ms , this is the TRIGGER TONE (more about that later) The durations of the digits is +- 400 ms **** FORWARD SIGNALS **** | *** BACKWARD SIGNALS *** Digit 1 = 1380+1500 | 1140+1020 Digit 2 = 1380+1620 | 1140+900 Digit 3 = 1500+1620 | 1020+900 Digit 4 = 1380+1740 | 1140+780 Digit 5 = 1500+1740 | 1020+780 Digit 6 = 1620+1740 | 900+780 Digit 7 = 1380+1860 | 1140+660 Digit 8 = 1500+1860 | 1020+660 Digit 9 = 1620+1860 | 900+660 Digit 0 = 1740+1860 | 780+660 Code 11 = 1380+1980 | 1140+540 Code 12 = 1500+1980 | 1020+540 Code 13 = 1620+1980 | 900+540 Code 14 = 1740+1980 | 780+540 Code 15 = 1860+1980 | 660+540 O.k. So if you have programmed this into your comuter now you need to know the Dailing format. So here comes the step by step manual. 1 Find a boxable number. 2 Give a 2280 HTz tone on the RIGHT MONENT for about 1 second. 3 Now you will a PLEEP, and you must give a short 2280 pulse (about 80 ms) until you hear a sort of a DAILTONE !!(The guard tone). 4 Now you are on trunk level, and ready to start signaling. The dailing format is : If you want to call for example: 123456 code 14, 1 ,code 14, 2 ,code 14, 3 ,code 14, 4 ,code 14, 5 ,code 14, 6 . So wich means that for EVERY digit you want to dail you need to put a CODE 14 signal upfront. With every digit you dail you will hear the truk give signals back.(see right table)these signals tell you wath to do, namely: 1: Send class of service 2: Spare code,( called line unobtainable) 3: Transit proceed to send ,( send early digits) 4: Subsequent terminal proceed to send (send late digits) and also: Initial terminal proceed to send (send late digits) 5: Congestion 6: Number recieved (limited facilities) 7: Called line free (ordinary) 8: Called line busy 9: Guard Prefix 10: Called line free (coin box) 11: Spare 12: Spare 13: Spare 14: Spare 15: Spare So the RIGHT side of the table above shows the frequencies of these digits. (You are the forward signaler, the trunk the backward one !!) In Holland where i live, you can only call for a short while, because of a TIME OUT, and i have no idea if that is difrent for the rest of the world. So phreakers, This is the end of FILE 1 made by THE KEY. If you want to get in touch with me you can always call NEABBS in holland, Country code 31, number 20717666 and ask the sysop. On NEABBS we have a HACKER BOARD, and a board for just about anything you can imagine !!!!! Happy PHREAKING !!!! THE KEY (C) 1988 NEABBS Holland.
