                             Opening Format

                             by Tony Curro

Another hot summer is upon us. As we enter the dog days of August,
check out the hot reviews we have for you this month.

We look at several Windows programs, some CD-ROMs, and some
hardware. There should be something for everyone.

In our ShareWare Spotlight we have two games from Software
Creations, and the announcement of a new update from Ron Janorkar
(CTMViewer) who has released another version of TagLine Xpress.

In CDs we look at Guinness Records, Microsoft Works for Windows
Multimedia Edition, and Shreyas Shah is back with a review on
    ChessMaster.

Norton Utilities 7.0 has been released, and we take a look at it. We
also look at buttonFile for Windows, SmartCom for Windows,
WinVelope, and the first Windows-only backup program from Colorado.

On the hardware side we look at Flight Yoke and one of the best
video cards I have come across thus far, the Volante Warp 10 Plus.

We are trying to get some notebooks, palmtops and the like for
future issues. We are also receiving printers, sound cards and other
    interesting software and hardware.

Also this month there is information about the biggest BBS
convention, ONE BBSCON, that is being held the end of August. Please
check it out. I will step aside and let you get to the magazine.
    Until next month...

    Tony Curro
