Reports from various committee members call the virus the "ghost of La Catedral," a reference to the prison from which Escobar and nine of his lieutenants escaped on July 22 during a bungled military operation to transfer them to another prison. "The committee's conclusions, reached after more than two months of investigation, supposedly held top military officials, ministers and former ministers responsible for the escape."
