** About X-DVE demo:

This drawer includes some examples of what can be done with X-DVE.
The sample animations are in XFA format and can be viewed using XFA_Util
that you can find in this directory.
Anyway, if you got AREXX installed on your Amiga, you can show them
all just starting "SHOW.rexx" script, which will drive XFA_Util for you.

Some of the animations can be played only with AGA and/or expanded machines
but they all require a 68020 or greater processor (even if X-DVE can generate
animations for all processors).
Do not attempt to play these animations with a 68000 processor, or you'll
get a sure software failure.

NOTE:
OCS is the original Amiga chipset
ECS is the enhanced Amiga chipset with S-HIRES screens and 31khz bandwidth
AGA is the lastest Amiga chipset of A1200, A4000 and CD32

** TO PLAY THE ANIMATIONS:

via AREXX:

-start REXXMAST program located in your SYS:SYSTEM drawer (double click on its icon)
-start the XFA_Util (double click on its icon)
-start the "SHOW.rexx" rexx script (double click on its icon)

via XFA_Util:

-start the XFA_Util (double click on its icon)
-click the "SRC" button and select an xfa animation from the file selector
-select "LOOP" / "AUTOPAUSE" checkboxes according to your requirements
(read XFA_Util.doc for more info)
-load the animation into memory by clicking the "LOAD XFA" button
-now you can play the animations by clicking the "PLAY MEM" button

If the animation is looping, you can stop the execution keeping pressed
right and left mousebuttons together.
If you haven't got enough RAM to load the animation, you can see it
with the "PLAY DISK" button.
This will execute the "SRC" animation from disk, and XFA_Util will use
only a small chunk of memory to play.
Note that playing XFA animations from disk, will show sure visible flickering
due to the nature of the XFA 32Bit-I / 16Bit-I compression, which need the
maximum "attention" of the main processor.
X-DVE however, can generate XFA animations that can be played smoothly even
from disk.

* X-DVE user-interface:

If you want to have a first impression of the X-DVE user interface, just
doubleclick the "X-DVE.iff" icon.
If you haven't got OS3.xx, you can change the default viewer assigned to
the icon from "MultiView" to the usual OS2.xx command "Display".
The X-DVE snapshot has been taken from the Italian version (sorry), but X-DVE
is currently localized for English and German languages.
