From: magick@iastate.edu (Krutch) Subject: JOBS: Industries and VR? Date: Mon, 18 Jan 1993 06:10:22 GMT Organization: Iowa State University, Ames IA Hello. Although I am just getting started in Virtual Reality programming, I have been interested in the subject for quite a while. My roomate and I have come up with numerous ideas for VR work in game and educational settings. What I am wondering is, plain and simple, what it takes to break into the business. I spend a lot of my time outside of going to classes brushing up on my C and C++ skills, and attempting to work out 3d drawing, shading, etc techniques. Are there companies out there that are looking for ideas from "no names?" Better yet, what are the possibilities of getting internships with some of the world's Virtual Reality leaders? Any replies would be appreciated. Mail would probably be faster, however, as my time is limited on the many newsgroups I subscribe to. Thanks in advance.
