              Informal Workshop on Virtual Reality
                   National Science Foundation
                        January 28, 1992
                           11AM - 4PM

Current developments in Virtual Reality(VR) suggest that scientists,
science educators, and educators take a close look at projects that
are utilizing this technology. This workshop is organized to bring
together persons involved in VR research and development as well as
persons involved in other fields who are interested in potential
applications of VR.

The first part of the workshop will be a structured forum where
persons can briefly present what interests or work they currently have
in the area and what problems and obstacles they face with their
endeavors. This will be followed by a question and answer and general
discussion session.

The second part of the workshop will focus on informal discussion
groups. It is too early to specifically list what groups will be
formed. This will be decided by the attendance of the meeting and
desires of participants. There is likely to be at least one group
interested in educational technology.

This is a general invitation for any person wishing involved in VR, VR
related or VR interested fields or projects. Please RSVP by January
26, 1993. Space is limited and we would like to be prepared ahead of
time for those wishing to attend. Please reply to Roberto Santiago on
electronic mail at rsantiag@note.nsf.gov or by phone at (202)357-9527.
