While there is certainly the possibility of unethical VR use
I see nothing unethical about the scenario described aboved.
In fact, not only do I as a consumer expect salesmen to try to read
me as closely as they can, but I would also expect manufacturers
to do just that sort of market testing to make their product as good
as it can be.
