The third meeting of the Virtual Reality Group (VRG) will be
held Thursday Febraury 18th at the Expolatorium in San
Francisco.  The meeting will start at 8:30 PM and will be held
in the McBean theatre.  For directions to the Exploratorium
call 415-561-0399.  There will be a $5 donation requested at
the door to cover refreshments and other expenses.

The topic of the third VRG meetin is "Computer Graphics and
Virtual Reality."   The meeting will feature a videophone link
to the Southern California VR SIG, where Brett
Leonard will be speaking about the making of _Lawnmower Man_
(the McBean theatre has facilities for projection of the
videophone signal onto a large screen TV.)

In addition, some of the folks from XAOS, makers of much the
computer animation used to represent virtual reality in
_Lawnmower Man_ will be at the Exploratorium to discuss
"computer graphics and virtual reality."  XAOS will also
present video of some of their eye popping computer graphics.

The next meeting of VRG will be held on Tuesday March 16th with
location and speakers to be announced.
