Here's another .5 cents worth,

OK. How about a psychological experiment where the subject is
always in a virtual world.

The subject would wear a HMD during all waking hours. They
would eat, work, and play in an almost fully immersive virtual world
for a given period of time.

This kind of experiment may be quite illegal, but look at what
we could all learn from this. Effects of long-term exposure to
altered-states (I'm not being facicious). Or how about the subject's
ability to distinguish what was dream and what was real? Or would it
be all dream? Taking a step back, the overall health risks involved in
virtual situations and in wearing all the gear.

I'm sure this has been already thought of and if anyone knows
about any such "evil" experiments :-) do tell...

I'd be willing to be a guinea pig :-)
