From: jhschm01@ulkyvx03.louisville.edu Subject: WANTED: Motion perception & VR Date: Thu, 24 Sep 1992 14:16:25 GMT Organization: University of Louisville I am a human factors graduate student interested in perception of motion/motion sickness issues (e.g. visual/vestibular mismatches). A question I would like to pose to members of this group is will investigating these "basic" issues using more conventional means (since virtual reality systems are very expensive) still provide meaningful info to apply to virtual reality environments? I have not given up on obtaining a low-end virtual reality system, but I also wish to be a "realist" about virtual reality. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
