There's an article in The Oct. 1992 "Keyboard Magazine", entitled
'Mark Trayle -- Making Space for Virtual Music', p. 38-39 .

The article mentions Trayle's use of a powerglove for synthesis... "a
breakout box that allowed the glove to talk over a serial link at 9600
baud to any computer. Combining the glove, the breakout box, and an
Amiga computer with his own homebrew software, he created a musical
instrument based on hand gestures as an active source for composition
and performance..."
