The HIT Lab at the Washington Technology Center, on the campus of the
University of Washington, in Seattle, announces its Second Industry
Symposium on Virtual Worlds Technology, scheduled for October 26-27,
1992.

The program for the Symposium features four outstanding guest
speakers:

	* Mike Maples, EVP, Worldwide Products Group, Microsoft Corp.
	* Dr. Robert Kahn, President, Corporation for National
	  Research Initiatives (NREN proponent)
	* Dr. Joel Orr, Chairman, Orr & Associates, Inc. (consultant
	  and founder of the Natl. Computer Graphics Association)
	* Frank Ogden, "Dr. Tomorrow," 71-year-old author and futurist

(All demonstrations must be scheduled prior to the Symposium, through
the process of registration.)

There will be a reception for the HIT Lab's Virtual Worlds Consortium
on Tuesday evening, with an all-day planning meeting to follow on
Wednesday, at the UW Faculty Club.

The fee for the Symposium is $495 ($595 late registration) or $95 for
members of the HIT Lab's Virtual Worlds Consortium.  Hotel space at a
special discounted rate is being offered at the Meany Tower Hotel,
near the University; and the Inn at the Market, in the scenic Pike
Place Public Market district.  Parking is not included in the regis-
tration fee.
