From: schilkk@prism.cs.orst.edu (Rat) Subject: TECH: Amiga & PG Help PLEASE! Date: Fri, 23 Oct 1992 07:30:52 GMT Organization: Oregon State University, Computer Science Dept. Hi, all! I'm not sure if this is the right place to send this (I think the glovelist is gone - hence the archives on karazm.math.uh. edu) but I'm trying to interface a Nintendo PowerGlove to my Amiga 500 (for my Computer Interfacing class). Here's the situation - I hooked up the PG to the 500's parallel port as required by the Alan Brand hack of the Manfredo Atari code from karazm. The connections given are : Powerglove -> Amiga Parallel Port Description +5v (red) Pin 14 +5v supply Gnd (black) Pin 18 Ground Clk (orange) Pin 2 D0 Latch (yellow) Pin 3 D1 Data (green) Pin 4 D2 Anyways, the glove beeps a few times upon powerup, and the ultrasonics click for a while. When I run the program to poll the glove's data, the glove goes dead, and the program (glove from the amigaglove.lzh archive) returns 9 FF's, regardless of what I do with the glove. My question : I saw someone post something similar a while back - what can be done to fix the problem? I'm assuming that that code works, and that the interface pins are correct. Any ideas? The glove sometimes stops clicking during bootup, but sometimes keeps going until the program is run. Thanks in advance for *any* info on what's wrong... -Rat O----O \oo/ "I am rodent - hear me squeak!" Oregon - vote NO on 9! ==\/== schilkk@[prism|mist|storm].cs.orst.edu
