science fiction mill) -- an insane agent.  Sort of like having the
Mad Hatter for a tour guide.... Of course, you never know what

We watched 2001 the other night.  It's been done.

A related topic is the agent whose purpose is to screw you up.  The
OSS [*] recruits went through a test where you were given two
assistants who were to "help" you build a kit (or something).  They
kept screwing up, and setting the project back.  The purpose was to
see how you reacted to frustration.
