Subject: APPS: Virtual Reality and Psychology?

Does anyone knows any applications of Virtual Reality on Psychology
(Sport Psychology?), like use of Virtual Reality environment as a
learning tool and results, etc. ?

The other day I was listening to a lecture about observational
learning from a famous psychologist and by the end of the lecture I
rased my hand and I asked "Did you ever experiment with Virtual
Reality as a learning tool?"  Some people (professors mainly) laughed
with my question. The lecturer said "No". I felt like Colombus saying
"the Earth is not level"!!!

So, please help me out.
