From: jew5001@venus.tamu.edu (WILLIAMSON, JOHN EDWARD) Subject: INFO: Pat Robertson and VR Date: 15 Oct 1992 10:16:49 -0500 Organization: Texas A&M University, Academic Computing Services Pat Robertson, former Presidential candidate and current tele-evangalist, will be disscussing the ethical, moral and I assume religous significance of VR on his syndicated show Friday October 16. See your local paper for a time near you. Naturally, _Lawnmowerman_ will be disscussed as well as the VR=drug issues. I caught the first half of the VR theme today by mistake, and was somewhat impressed with the number and quality of the interviews and demos they showed. Howard Rheingold, Walt Fisher and a variety of Ames researchers all made apperances. It was a better, more informative 10 minute intro to VR than the 20/20 piece. I am curious to see who the theolgians and philosphers will be on tomorrow's show. Isn't there a dataglove mentioned in _Revelations_? Maybe Pat will be the first to use VR for tele-evngalical shows. Better him than Tammy Baker, can you imagine that make-up streaming in 3D? John W.
