An increasingly global marketplace characterized by interdependencies
promotes a more abstract view of competition and corporate autonomy.
No more capable competition to U.S. business exists than that posed by
Japan.

This presentation will examine the progress of the partnership/
competitive "game" between the U.S. and Japan from historical and
current perspectives. Examples from industry and warfare--both
ancient and modern--will be used to illustrate the consequences of
awareness, and lack thereof, in the minds of the players. Case
studies will be used to explore the strategic orientation and
direction of Japanese firms. The session will be interactive.
