On November 11, Japanese newspaper reported about a test version of
SONY HMD.  Here is a report on more precise specification from SONY's
press release note.

Device name: "Visortron"
Display: two LCDs with 103K pixels and 0.7 inch size(!)
LCD Driver: two drivers(though the test version has a sigle external interface)
Optical System: SONY-original non-spehrical plastic lenses
Personal Tuning: sight, head band(distance of eye and lens)
Sound System: two earphones

Porpose: personal video display with wide screen image
           (video tape, video game, etc. )
	   maybe VR?
Human Factor Consideration: tested and designed from human engineering 
	 and ophthalmology view points.
Application Example Investigated: aircraft entertainment system

Commercial Release: not yet determined
