From: bradw@chaos.cs.brandeis.edu (Brad Wyble) Subject: TECH: Glove & laptops & raquetball probs Date: Fri, 30 Oct 1992 06:58:42 GMT Organization: Brandeis University hmmmm. I have a glove, it works on my standard 386 33, but my friend has a portable 386 SX/16 and it refuses to accept it. It will hold on waiting for glove for a long time and then enter. At various times the gesture indicator will be (NULL) and at others will be gestures. Every now and again we get quick glimpses of the glove. Anyideas? is the parallel port mapped wierd on a laptop? or is an SX 16 to slow? I'd like to know cause I hooked it up to work off a 9V battery using a regulator and I'd like to be able to use it for portable demonstrations. (and to play with it in class, giving us a new way to ignore the prof). Also, I can't get Raquetball to work on my 33, it hangs on waiting for glove. Does this happen to others? -bradw
