This is my VERY FIRST NEWSGROUP message, so please correct me if I replied in the wrong fashion. As for our physical respose to virtual stimulus, well thats the whole point of VR, isn't it? We're supposed to be convinced, from a sensory point of view, that the virtual world is real. I'm not a psychologist, either, but I know that if our human systems are presented with SOME of the expected sensory stimuli related to a action, then our brain will "fill-in-the-blanks" and provide the expected response. In the VR walk around, your brain hears the sounds, and sees the sights associated with movement, so Dispite the fact that your balance sense isn't being affected, it creates the reaction for movement.
