From: Nicolas Alejandro Arauz Subject: TECH: powerglove problems Date: Mon, 11 May 1992 20:34:26 -0400 (EDT) I figured out the problem I was having with the data input and the Powerglove. I'm posting my findings in order to help others who might have a similar problem with their glove. It's actually a pretty simple problem. It's best to check that the output of the power source is very close to +5v. If it is not within say +/- .5v of +5volts, you'll have data transfer/receive problems. I may have shot my voltage regulator by putting power in the wrong way, but whatever was happening, I had too much voltage going in (about 1 to 1.5v too much). The glove seemed to work, except when the computer polled it for data, the glove would beep like CRAZY! Make sure the power line is just about +5v (check with a voltometer) and you should have no problems. Hope this helps some of you!
