That's great -- I've been looking and asking everywhere for P-Gloves. 
I've asked people here, looked at back messages.  The second I find
them, and advertise to sell some to others who couldn't find them, then
people start loosening up their secrets and reveal that PowerGloves can
be obtained at certain obscure game stores.  Anyway, I was rather upset
too.  The Byte issue said the gloves were about $100 -- so that what I
expected to pay.  Anyway, I managed to revamp my deal with the guy a
bought them from (I told him about this) and he gave me a better deal (I
glad!).  Anyway, I've been able to reduce the price to $55 w/shipping. 
At least people help came better late than never on this one!  People,
don't think I mad at anyone  -- I was just pissed to find out that
they're more readily available than I had thought and it took me trying
to sell to others who couldn't find them before anyone said anything. 
Anyway, to VR!
