A dutch book on VR (of W. Bricken and L. Sala) mentioned the effort to create 
a real-time network interconnecting several institutes (as NASA Ames & UNC).

They also wrote about some *standarized* protocol for the exchange of world 

info, called DUCK...

Does anybody know in which extend this announcement was wrong/premature?

s an experienced VR programmer, I'm looking forward to work in Virtual Space
 with more *real* actors/actresses.
