Date: Friday, 27 Mar 1992 13:56:03 EST Organization: Penn State University I must post to thank those researchers in the field that do take time to post. I, for one, work in a non-VR field, and look to groups such as these as one of my sole sources of VR info. Literature on the subject is either non-existant or too expensive to contemplate. I recently asked at a local bookstore for material on the subject, and was directed to a specialty magazine and a few hardbacks. The magazine, thin as it was, had an unbelievable cover price of $10!!! The other books were of quality as well as quantity, but $30 a shot. A small information base, would therefore cost me (at least on a student's budget) a small fortune. Local librarians offer blank stares and attempt: "You are looking for books about Rachel Realty?!" So, for these reasons I would like to again offer my thanks to you quality contributors. Internet, which in my eyes is a fledgling cyberspace, offers us a wonderful medium of interactive knowledge, free and sharing as it should be (polite boo's to Compuserve). I value the ability to learn and grow with this most important field. I don't know about you people, but I wanna be the first person on my block with a datajack...
