From: machin@mentor.cc.purdue.edu (Dave Machin) Subject: Re: APPS: Immersive Theater, etc. Date: 25 Mar 92 14:36:46 GMT Organization: Purdue University Computing Center I ran some SLI type live role playing events (they were local though). I called them Freeforms (which is the European version). We were going to do a really large one called A Saucer Full of Secrets (from a Pink Floyd title) which was about all the different events on a space station. Unfortunatly we had difficulties placing our advertisements and couldn't do it. In the games I ran I (GM) didn't have to make very many choices and the game ran rather smoothly. I also had a computer program which I wrote that randomly created all the characters and goals so we could play it over and over again. One of the things I would like to see happen in VR is interactive games like Freeforms. Dave Machin machin@mentor.cc.purdue.edu
