A quick comment re the new DEC computers based on the Alpha chip and other
computers that will be announced shortly competitive to it -- be careful
about the timing of the announcement and the availability of the systems.
 
I believe it will be late 1992, or sometime in 1993 before we see very many
systems with alpha chips in them actually on the street.
 
One of the problems that computer firms are facing today is the extremely
short market life of products that still take years to develop. I have no
idea how they will handle this conflict over the next five years.
