It appears that by reading the articles within this news group I am asking an age-old question, but here it goes anyway.... We are at present setting up a Laboratory for Visual Perception. We have at present an image generator capable of producing real time flight simulation. We would like to move into the area of Virtual Reality, and so I am asking any of the people out there what if any systems they are running, and the suppliers. Our present Hardware platform is a 386/33 MHz with an AP4000 geometry engine and PG 2000 viewing graphics display board (both made by XTAR). We would like to move to a stereo display - without the obvious expense of another AP4000/PG2000 for the other display. So if any of you out there have any neat and nifty ideas about how we can get a stereo display from the one geometry engine/ display board then I would appreciate a reply of some sort... Well thanks for your time Warren King.
