Dear Participants,

In making our case for expansion of this newsgroup -- to include, for
example, an archive for unpublished papers -- we are coming up against
obstacles, of which cost is the most ominous.  Merely keeping the
postings and archives up to date costs $200 in memory charges.  Expan-
ding our services may cost more.

So, to expand the newsgroup's offerings, you, the participants, are
going to have to raise a mighty din.  If you can find the time, an
email endorsement of this newsgroup's quality, usefulness, and poten-
tial impact on our field would be appreciated.  Just send your comments
in an   R   response to this posting and I will consolidate them for
presentation to the Keepers of the Core.
