From: Nicolas Alejandro Arauz Subject: TECH: capacitors/3d glasses Date: Tue, 2 Jun 1992 23:21:22 -0400 (EDT) I have a bunch of disc capacitors that don't give their uF rating. Does anyone know if there is a way, perhaps using a multimeter, to test capacitors to get their capacitance. My multimeter can do that for resistance. It would be really nice if I had a way of testing capacitance. Also, how does the capaciors's voltage rating work? For example, for the .1uF and .01uF capacitors in the Sega3D circuit (the ext. power one), what voltage capacitors should be used? Does it matter if the capacitor is rated for 5v or for 25v? Or is the only difference the maximum voltage allowed? Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me!
