From: plains!ux.acs.umn.edu!shekoski@uunet.uu.net Subject: ProEnginer (CAD) and VR Date: Fri, 10 Jan 1992 19:21:00 GMT Organization: University of Minnesota CIS I have access to lots of CAD systems on powerful platforms (high end sili-g's), and I would like to connect some type of 3-D viewing device to this system to allow us to manipulate and assemble our parts. Can somebody point me in the right direction on how I would go about getting started? Our basic solid modeling package is ProEngineer on silicon graphic machines. I know it probably isn't as easy as just hooking up a stereo viewer, but this could save us alot of time in the production phase. Thanks Paul Shekoski shekoski@vx.acs.umn.edu
