It's been reported by D.C. sources that the National Academy of Sciences,
the highest authority in the U.S. on federal support for scientific
research, will hold a meeting on the topic of virtual worlds technology
on Tuesday, January 14, 1992.

If this is so, would someone with the NAS or someone invited to attend
the event inform the participants of this newsgroup regarding this
meeting?  It would be very unfortunate for a meeting of this potential
magnitude to occur without widespread awareness that it is taking place.
