The Cave, done by those fine folks in Chicago, uses three rear-screen 
projection walls and one front-screen projection floor along with flip 
glasses to do VR.  It is a VERY effective system, much better than walking 
around with a couple of low-res LCD's on your face.  There are some 
problems with image resolution on the corners of the box, but they seem to 
have made them pretty minimal.
