The symposium will be held in Las Vegas on December 7-11. Virtual reality demonstrations will be running in the CHI SIG (Computer-Human Interaction Special Interest Group) Campground in the Convention Center for the whole week. We will be alternating between demonstrations built at Digital and those built at Xtensory with our different software systems. Both will be running on a DECstation 5000/240 PXG Turbo+ system. These demonstrations will be quite simple and are primarily intended for people who have not tried out virtual reality systems before. Our goals are to introduce DECUS members to virtual reality and its possibilities, and to learn about DECUS members' needs for VR technology. In addition, there will be 5 talks on virtual reality on Monday afternoon. All talks are in Ballroom EFG in the Las Vegas Hilton: 2:00 CHI Keynote: Virtual Worlds -- Why and When?
