Many helmet display systems we've seen have a fairly large lag time
associated with them with an end result being images that appear to
slosh around.

Our question for the net is: What is the maximum acceptable lag time
from when a position/orientation sensor detects new data to when a
computer generated image is displayed, such that the "perceived" lag
is negligible?
