The rumor I hear is that VPL is radically changing their direction.
They apparently won't repair broken EyePhones "Because they can't get
the LCDs anymore", they haven't yet delivered an EyePhone HRX for the
same reason, that was ordered in October 1991, they didn't have a
booth at SIGGRAPH, they don't seem to be responding to mail addressed
to their president. However, they did ship a DataGlove Model 2 to the
Banff Centre, so who knows what's going on.
