      The going rate for SIMMs is below $35 per megabyte, quantity 1.
This "new development in solid-state memories" will have to do much better
than $80 per megabyte.  There's certainly no big problem in building a box 
with slots for 250 4MB SIMMs.  A gigabyte box ought to cost about $40K
tops.
