As with the previous two workshops, the purpose is to improve the exchange of experience and knowledge between people representing the animation and simulation communities on the general themes of modeling, animation, motion control, simulation and visualization of dynamic scenes. The main topics of this workshop are : - hardware and software for animation - motion control - physically based modeling - simulation of dynamic natural phenomena - animation languages and systems - character animation, human animation, synthetic actors - behavioral animation - animator interface - flight and driving simulators - real time animation/simulation - graphical simulation - motion blur and temporal antialiasing - temporal coherence CONTIBUTIONS: Authors are invited to send four copies of an extended abstract (up to 6 pages) to the workshop secretariat (see below for relevant deadlines). Abstracts submitted after the deadline will still be considered, but will have a lower priority for inclusion in the programme. Invitations to submit revised versions for a book (in the Eurographics Seminar Series or the EG Technical Series) will depend on the quality of the contributions. The local organizer is Terry Hewitt. The workshop is an activity of the Eurographics Working Group on Animation and Simulation. Attendance fees will be charged and will cover the meeting facilities, lunch on both days, and accommodation in Queens' College, Cambridge on Sat 5th Sept with breakfast. They do not cover dinners for which personal arrangements should be made or accommodation on Fri 4th Sept (although this may be booked as an extra). The fees are 125 UK pounds for EG members and 160 UK pounds for non-members. If spare capacity is available (above the numbers submitting papers) there may be limited opportunities for those not presenting papers to participate.
