S. Department of Education grant to conduct a mini-conference on "VR and Disability" as a part of a larger conference, "Technology and Persons with Disabilities," to be held in March of 1992 at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott Hotel. Jaron Lanier of VPL Research, Inc. will keynote the mini-conference on VR on Thursday, March 19, 1992. A Call for Papers will be sent to anyone who might have an application or proposed application for VR with persons with disabilities. The "Technology and Persons with Disabilities" conference is now the largest of its kind in the world. The last conference, the sixth annual one, was held in March of 1991 and drew 2,000 persons from 42 states and 19 foreign countries. There were 225 presentors and 102 exhibitors in 17,000 square feet of exhibit space. In 1992, two mini-conferences will be a part of the larger conference. The one on VR and another on Voice I/O and Persons with Disabilities. CSUN is holding a conference, October 1-3, 1991, in Palm Springs, CA to set national priorities in the field of Voice I/O and Persons with Disabilities. If interested, contact Harry. Thanks.
