I have just tuned in to this newsgroup.  From the few dozen postings
I've read, I get a general feeling for "virtual reality", and a vague
impression that it means, perhaps, different things to different
people.

I'd appreciate some responses to "what is virtual reality?".  I'm
a complete newcomer to the terminology, at least, and just want
to know what this newsgroup, and VR, is all about.  Email is great,
so I don't waste the newsgroup's bandwidth.  TIA.
