VIRTUAL REALITY SYSTEMS

University of Leeds
Leeds, England
20-21 May 1992

	The British Computer Society (BCS) invites contributions for 
Virtual Reality Systems.  Topics include, but are not limited to, the 
following:  hardware environments, data input and interaction, 
stereographics, virtual worlds, personalized systems, HCI, sensory 
input and output, real-time simulation, industrial applications areas, 
and scientific applications.

	SUBMISSION OF PAPERS.  The deadline for submission of full 
papers (four copies) is *December 6, 1991.*  Papers, written in 
English, should be typed single spaced on one side only.  Length 
should be 5,000 to 10,000 words, including figures.  Contents should 
be previously unpublished results and applications.  Color 
illustrations (in the form of slides) are welcomed.  Papers will be 
published in the conference proceedings which will be available at 
the conference registration.

	Upon acceptance by the program committee, final papers will 
be due March 6, 1992.

	In order to be accepted by the program committee, the first 
part of each paper should include:

	* The paper's title
	* A maximum 200-word abstract
	* Up to 10 keywords
	* Name, title, and affiliation, complete address, telephone/fax/ 
		telex and email addresses (as available) for each author
	* A maximum 100-word biography
	* The name of the corresponding author
	* A signed statement of commitment to present if selected
		("If this paper is accepted for publication, one of the
		authors will present the paper at the BCS conference.)
	
	A paper lacking any of this information will not be considered 
by the program committee.

	There is also a possibility for publication of expanded versions 
of exceptionally high-quality papers in a book to be published by 
Springer-Verlag, to be produced after the conference.  Authors 
should indicate in their submission whether they wish to be 
considered for this book in addition to publication in the conference 
proceedings.
