Advanced Visual Interfaces 
an International Workshop

Roma, Centro Congressi, Universita' "La Sapienza", May 27-29, 1992

Call for Papers

This Workshop has the aim of bringing together experts in different areas of
computer science which have a common interest in the design and management of
visual interfaces. Since cognitive science and metaphor analysis prove useful
for understanding the basic mechanisms which allow visual interfaces to be easy
to learn and use, these topics are also relevant to our meeting. Both formal
methods and concrete applications well fit into the framework of this Workshop.
Furthermore, we  will also focus on the research in the areas of visual
languages, visual database systems, intelligent agents for system interaction,
graphical and pictorial communication tools, multimedia environments, and
specific technological developments.
