As of this morning at around 11am, I am now graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology's Information and Computer Science Dept. As a direct result, I know have relaxed enough to go ahead and post my AD&D 1st edition character sheets that I promised a lot of you (around 30 people). I think that they can also be used for 2nd edition by I don't know, nor do I care at the moment. I originaly intended design a character sheet for each and every possible character class available under the Arcana Errata Rules published in an issue of Dragon (c) magazine (the issue numgber escapes me at the moment). To make this possible I created (or rather expounded on since Johhny Tamplin had the original idead) a modular system of component pieces that represented a particular class characteristic and simply pasted together the pieces necessary to give a particular character class possibility all of its necessary information. There is a base character sheet and additional sheets are created as needed. Just fooling around, I ended up with around 14 pages with each page tailored towards one particular class or multiclass. For sake of brevity I am only posting the base character sheet and the info sheets for clerics, magic-users, and thiefs. The cleric sheet can be used for druids, the m-u sheet for illusionists, and the thief sheet for assassins. All the sheets were done in LaTeX with some macros and style files custom to Georgia Tech and myself. There resulting dvi files created by LaTeX were converted to postscript using the dvi2ps software on our machines. It has test printed on a QMS-22000, an apple Laserwriter II, a NEC silentwriter, and a Xerox 9000 laser printer. If you can't print it as is, I might be able to arrange to get you the dvi file and let you work with it from there. I am NOT giving out the latex "source" right now and may never do it. I need to check into some GaTech policy first. I would appreciate it if someone could email me the info of where I can put the postscript versions of theses character sheets to make them publically available. I will only post the rest of the sheets (monks, bards, multiclasses, and subclasses) if I cannot do this and even then only if a substantial amount of people need them. I would also appreciate any feedback you can give me on these sheet designs as these came from personal preferences. Enjoy!
