Baron Anthas Raconi: the ambitious young lord of the city. A quite capable knight and statesman (still learning the subtler arts, of course, but showing great promise) who would be an excellent leader if he actually tried to be, instead of trying to arrange for his political rise. His father, Pelias, died some two years ago from a wasting disease; the last years of his reign were as weak as his health. Anthas was hailed as a vigorous improvement, but hasn't proven to be all that was expected. Lady Sharra Raconi: Anthas's wife, the youngest daughter of the queen of the Tenkin Isles, which lie a day's sailing west on a full breeze. She has been brought up in a court, as is quite comfortable with intrigue and rumor. A strong woman, although she would never publicly oppose her husband, she may privately act without his consent (though she of course would like to see his ambition fulfilled). She does have slightly more interest in seeing that Tabolport runs smoothly, but is still often distracted and has little legal authority or influence herself, only that of her husband.
