        Active keys during attract mode: 
            
            ESCAPE - exit from current screen and display next screen
             SPACE - pause current screen
             ENTER - start game
                F1 - quit game


        Active keys during game-play mode:
            
            ESCAPE - request pause
                 R - reset/restart game
                F1 - quit game
             SPACE - hyperspace
               ALT - smart bomb 
            INSERT - smart bomb 
             ENTER - fire lazer 
               TAB - fire lazer 
              CAPS - fire lazer 
           NUM-PAD - move ship (if keyboard selected)
                 1 - set ship vertical speed = slow
                 2 - set ship vertical speed = intermediate
                 3 - set ship vertical speed = fast
                 4 - set ship horizontal speed = slow
                 5 - set ship horizontal speed = intermediate
                 6 - set ship horizontal speed = fast
                 7 - set ship inertia = more
                 8 - set ship inertia = intermediate
                 9 - set ship inertia = less
                F5 - set game speed = normal
                F6 - set game speed = fast (requires fast system)
                F7 - decrease game speed (no VRI sync)
                F8 - increase game speed (no VRI sync)
                 T - set game speed = turbo (no VRI sync; fast system)
        
        Note to keyboard users:  Always use the keys on the numeric
        keypad, never use the inverted-T cursor keys.  The keyboard
        has certain hardware limitations which prevent the desired
        use of certain keystroke combinations.


        Active keys during name-entry mode:
            
            ESCAPE - cancel name-entry
            ARROWS - move cursor
            INSERT - insert highlighted letter
            DELETE - clear name-entry line
                F1 - quit game
