Split Screen by Don Pefley * Important * Split screen only works with mono chrome monitors. Split Screen is a small terminal program that is mainly used as a type ahead buffer. Unique twist of the program is that it uses the small system font, therefore allowing 2 full screens of data to be displayed at the same time. The commands for Split Screen are very simple. The HELP key will toggle between normal and split screen. The UNDO key will exit the program. The ENTER key on the keypad will send the buffer. The 'Clr Home' key will clear all the buffer. 'alt c' will toggle chat mode. Chat mode is where the key is sent as soon as it has been pressed. The top window is for the modem and the bottom window is where your typing will be displayed. Once the ENTER key has been pressed, the entire bottom screen will be sent out the modem and the bottom screen will be cleared and ready for the next buffer full. I usually ran Split Screen from inside Dterm, using the execute other program function from the main menu. Split Screen will become an internal part of Dterm, as soon as I put the color routines in.
